Title: Manager, Speaker Relations & Content Management

Summary of Role: This is a remote position.
The Manager, Speaker Relations & Content Management is a leader responsible for driving excellence with an emphasis in event management, speaker/talent relations and advancement, production, and operations. Reporting directly to the Director, Conferences/Executive Producer, this role oversees the management of over 600 speakers and across 10 stages and their content for a Conference in June 2025. 

Manager, Speaker Relations & Content Management is expected to be available at a full-time contract capacity, Monday - Friday. Working hours are 10 am - 6 pm EST some additional hours or weekend work may be required related to the nature of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all speakers and talent after the point of contract execution to advance travel arrangements and accommodations, develop itineraries, content collection, technical logistics, and hospitality needs on site. 
  • Build and manage the Content Module for call for papers/abstract submissions and review, as well as, the Speaker Portal for speaker management and communications within the Event Management System (Rainfocus)
  • Ensure Speakers submit their content, bios, travel schedules, etc. according to the deadlines 
  • Handle any special requests or requirements from speakers and talent.
  • Manage the Programming Schedule across 10+ stages and collaborate with the Booking & Programming and Technical Production team to ensure successful session and changeover scheduling  
  • Advance all technical and presentation needs with the Technical Director and A/V Vendor to ensure needs are met for each speaker.
  • Work with the Creative and Marketing Departments on the creation and distribution of promotional materials featuring speakers and talent.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to speaker and talent fees, as well as, process speaker fees and honorarium according to agreements
  • Ensure all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in Speaker/ Artist relations within the conventions, trade shows, conferences, and live events sectors.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in a management role 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Brings a proven track record in building and managing large-scale budgets for productions, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness. 
  • Excellent project management abilities, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Estimated Salary Range between $67,500 and $75,000 per year.
