POSITION SUMMARY

Supports technical needs of internal and external customers. Maintains and enhances the company’s technology infrastructure. Performs systems maintenance tasks to promote uptime and efficient performances. Acquires, installs and tests software upgrades and computer components.Configures software and resolves technical problems. Maintains documentation of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting procedures.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Primary accountability for specific functions and results)

  1. Serves as a positive role model consistent with our corporate culture at all times.
  2. Provide technical support to all company locations and resolves support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
  3. Troubleshoot technical and process issues.
  4. Documenting resolutions and configurations changes
  5. Onboarding and offboarding of accounts in Active Directory, Office 365 and other systems
  6. Setup, deploy, and maintain end user computing equipment
  7. Performs regular patch maintenance on I.T. supported devices within the company
  8. Documentation of I.T infrastructure, technical resolutions, and procedures
  9. Responds to alerts from I.T. security and network monitoring systems
  10. Maintains and tests company disaster recovery plans
  11. Maintains continuing education of company technology stack
  12. Stays informed and educated on new and emerging technologies
  13. Travels to manufacturing locations and for training as required


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

To perform at a proficient level and to be fully qualified, a person would be expected to have:

Experience: 2 or more years business experience managing Windows desktop and server environment.

Licenses/Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (minimum required):

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  2. Ability to anticipate, analyze, and solve a wide variety of technical problems
  3. Ability to work independently and grasp new tasks quickly
  4. Strong attention to detail
  5. In depth knowledge of the following:
  6. Modern Windows operating systems
  7. Office 365 and related technologies
  8. Software deployment technologies
  9. Active Directory and Group Policy Management
  10. IP networking and security
  11. Cybersecurity best practices. Understanding of NIST 800-171 security controls
  12. Experience with the following technologies preferred, but not required:
  13. Windows Powershell
  14. VMware virtualization (vCenter, ESXi)
  15. Veeam Backup and Recovery
  16. Infor Syteline ERP
  17. Linux based operating systems


Physical Requirements:

  1. Able to sit for extended periods of time while conducting work on computer workstations including mouse, keyboard and monitor.
  2. Able to communicate via phone, e-mail, or in person with internal and external customers.
  3. Able to constantly move about the facility.
  4. Able to operate standard office machines.
  5. Able to travel independently.
