Vast.ai is a market based cloud computing platform focused on reducing the cost and friction of compute-intensive workloads, enabling anyone to easily leverage large-scale GPU liquidity. NOTE: Currently hiring for on-site work in Westwood, Los Angeles.

About the Role

We're looking for a dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for generating high-quality pipeline and setting up crucial appointments. You'll play a pivotal role in driving our business forward by promoting both our GPU cluster rentals and our serverless platform. This position offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in tech sales while working at the forefront of AI technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and reach out to potential clients in the AI and tech industries.
  • Harness new LLM/AI tech to map out and generate quality leads.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and pain points.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate their value.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and the AI landscape.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for qualified opportunities and scheduled meetings.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in a tech-related field (fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome to apply).
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, particularly AI and cloud computing.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
  • Strong research skills and ability to find creative ways to engage prospects.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with the AI startup ecosystem or cloud computing concepts.
