Job DescriptionJob Description

The Process Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining routes for manufactured product that create a quality part in the safest, and efficient manner available.

To accomplish this it will require them to:

  1. Take inputs from Engineering to produce routes.
  2. Work with the Operations Manager to ensure quality of daily production.
  3. Drive improvements in processes to: increase productivity, reduce the cost of production, and improve the quality of the part.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Process Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are:

  • Work in a safe, and courteous manner.
  • Regular attendance, professionalism and a “can-do” attitude is an expectation of the role.
  • Create complete and accurate routes for all manufactured products.
  • Provide updates on time standards for Engineering.
  • Provide shop floor support with respect to:
    • Revising routes
    • Updating route bill of materials
    • Selecting new cutting tools or grinding wheels
    • Programming
    • Additional tasks as required
  • Maintain and update process maps for each product.
  • Assist in the disposition of non-conforming material.
  • Support the preparation of quotes, and any other release requirements to production in conjunction with Design Engineering.
  • Review manufacturing methods, and recommend changes to reduce costs, improve productivity, correct discrepancies, and conform to new or changed customer requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field or comparable on the job experience.

The ability to write technical reports in a clear, accurate and complete form, excellent organizational skills, excellent computer skills, excellent housekeeping skills, excellent work ethic and good judgment.

Good analytical skills, excellent project management skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally (in person or by telephone) and in writing as required, excellent relationship and leadership skills, attention to detail and understanding of “the big picture”

The ability to proficiently use standard office equipment such as computers, e-mail, Microsoft Office, internet search engines, copiers, telephone and fax machines is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be stand for periods of time; walk and move throughout the building on a regular basis to talk with and obtain information from other employees.

Lift up to 50 lbs as required

Must be able to participate in physical inventory exercises. Must also be able to work for long periods of time sitting and using a computer and telephone.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Must be able to travel by car or air occasionally, including overnight stays.
