Position Overview:


Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic sales professional who excels in building long-term relationships with clients, understands the agricultural equipment and commodity handling sector, and has a strong ability to manage complex sales cycles. This role requires someone who is both a "hunter" in pursuing new business opportunities and a "relationship builder" who can maintain and grow existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales and Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across the USA.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Manage ongoing client accounts and provide tailored solutions to meet their specific needs.
  • Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of their storage solutions and technology. Be able to confidently present and advise clients on the best solutions for their agricultural storage needs.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel extensively (40-50% of the time), domestically as well as internationally, to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support sales efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the global team. Participate in regular sales meetings, training sessions, and strategic planning.


Key Qualifications:


  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a sales role, preferably in the agricultural sector or related industries. Experience with long sales cycles and high-value investments is highly desirable.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Must be comfortable working at the kitchen table with farmers and other agricultural professionals.
  • Sales Skills: Strong hunter mentality with the ability to identify and close new business opportunities. Must also be adept at managing and growing existing accounts.
  • Education: A background in agriculture or related fields is preferred. A degree in business, agriculture, or a related discipline is beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a good listener, able to absorb and understand client needs, and provide thoughtful, tailored solutions.
  • Location: While based in the Boise, ID area, the candidate should be willing to spend time in the office when not traveling to engage with the team and continue their development.
