The mission of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington is to spread the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. In the faithful pursuit of this mission, the Archdiocese is seeking a Facilities Manager at St. Mary of the Mills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facilities. The Facilities Manager will oversee all aspects of facilities management, ensuring that our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Manage and maintain all facilities equipment and systems.

-Direct management of facilities staff.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of facilities equipment.
- Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance and repair activities.
- Manage and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and maintenance.
- Develop and manage budgets for facilities maintenance and repair projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and health regulations and standards.
- Provide technical support and training to facilities staff.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure the effective management of facilities.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business/Management or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education; completion of high school/GED required.

-Minimum of two (2) years of experience in commercial facilities maintenance and/or construction/trade industries.

- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to fabricate and install various facilities equipment and systems.
- Proven experience in project management and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a full time 40 hour a week position.
