What We’re Looking For


Travelpro is seeking an entry to mid-level Inventory/Distribution Administrator to join our Operations team In this role you will assist in developing a strong effective cycle count process and work cooperatively with the Distribution Center and Finance to develop and attain procedures and policies that will ensure efficient and accurate inventory management practices.


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs.
  • Count and reconcile all chosen part numbers and/or locations.
  • Assist in developing solutions to specific problem areas.
  • Compile, verify and report periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations.
  • Research transfer discrepancies and correct as necessary. Research and report to appropriate individuals on the history of each discrepancy.
  • Complete inventory adjustments for various reasons, (kits, damages, discrepancies, samples, etc.).
  • Make recommendations regarding opportunities to improve inventory management.
  • Analyze data to identify discrepancies within the system. Adjust records when there are discrepancies and take steps to correct and prevent discrepancies.
  • Operate Equipment: Reach, Order Picker, Pacer, Scissor, Wave and Electric Pallet Jack.
  • Must be able to sit or stand a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and must be able to climb stairs as required
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level on regular basis
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis
  • Position will be exposed to shipping and receiving docks, material handling equipment, warehouse personnel

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • 1-2 years of Inventory Management experience, preferably in a warehousing environment
  • Experience in high-volume distribution environment
  • Experience working JD Edwards preferred
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Must have the ability to direct and handle multiple tasks and process strong practical and technical skills Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Solid knowledge of regulatory inventory processes and practices; good analytical, decision making and problem skills
  • Basic understanding of warehouse/distribution operations
