Summary/Objective

We are currently looking for an Accounting Specialist join our team. Under the direct supervision of our Director of Finance and HR. This position provides an array of Accounting supports to our organization. This position deals with a diverse group tasks that will ensure our accounting process runs smoothly and in a timely manner. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

This positions will heavily focus on account reconciliation, month end preparation, setting up new accounts and will take a small section of our Accounts payable department. They will assist with the vendor risk management and will work closely on implementing budgets and forecasting.

In order to be considered candidate must have current working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop.

We are located by Bridgeport Mall.

Essential Functions

  • Reconcile statements (credit card and financial accounts)
  • Reconcile state of Washington Sales Tax
  • Reconcile company accounts related to work related systems
  • Keep current credit cards charged in system
  • Enter Assets and Vehicles to all systems
  • Follow up with team members on past due items
  • Upload invoice for vendors to One Drive
  • Assist with month end processing by keeping track of accounts reconciled, closed,
  • Maintain accounting processes up to date
  • Close Paid in full jobs from systems
  • locate customer files for processing
  • Review budgets and forecasting
  • Complete new contracts
  • vendor risk management compliance

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Scheduling and dress code policy

This position is a full-time position ranging from 32hrs to 40hrs. Due to the nature of our industry some overtime, after hours and weekends, while unlikely, may be required. The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday between the hours 7:00am to 5:00pm. Dress code is office casual.
