As a Consultant specializing in Workforce and Capacity Optimization, your role will be crucial in consulting on strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency for our client. Your focus will be on consulting and developing strategies, processes, tools, and technologies to facilitate growth and cost improvements through optimized collection capacity and workforce management. You may consult on tasks such as direct labor budgeting and forecasting, workforce planning, scheduling, reporting, and analytics. Your expertise in Industrial Engineering and process improvement tools will ensure that productivity goals are met and cost improvements are achieved. The success of your efforts will directly impact the broader Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Align workforce optimization initiatives with the company's overall business objectives.

Workforce Optimization Program:

  • Consult on strategies, budgeting, and forecasting for direct labor spend across 220+ centers.
  • Define and implement processes for intraday, short-term, and long-term labor planning.
  • Implement software solutions and tools for workforce management, supporting labor standards, forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.

Productivity and Cost Improvements:

  • Consult on how to lead improvements through data analysis, modeling, simulation, and application of Industrial Engineering principles.
  • Collaborate with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to develop business cases for Transformation initiatives.

Best Practices and Process Improvement:

  • Identify and deploy best practices and improved processes for labor optimization.
  • Address bottlenecks in the collection process to maximize capacity utilization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost savings and efficiency gains.

Capacity and Utilization Planning:

  • Consult on capacity and utilization modeling and planning, developing methodology and tools for forecasting and optimization.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, IT, and consultants to develop advanced analytical models and dashboards for operations management.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Industrial Engineering or other relevant experience handling the above responsibilities.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
