About the Role

The University of Chicago's Institute for Translational Medicine (ITM) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the ITM Network Capacity Cluster. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of clinical and translational research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the ITM Network Capacity Cluster's workplan, ensuring alignment with the cluster's strategic aims.
  • Manage the daily operations of the cluster, including financial, meetings, and program services.
  • Collaborate with the ITM's Network Capacity Trial and Recruitment Innovation Office (TRIO) to optimize clinical and translational research.
  • Develop and implement new trainings and programs to meet emerging needs in clinical research operations.
  • Engage with translational research teams to promote diverse participant recruitment and retention.
  • Supervise the work of community navigators and provide guidance on clinical research regulatory operations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of projects conducted within the ITM that utilize CTSA central project resources.
  • Prepare and evaluate TRIO reports, follow-up reports, and dissemination tools.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a related job discipline, with a strong understanding of clinical research regulations and operations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to various audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as public health, health administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a complex research university environment, with a strong understanding of clinical research operations and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
