Commonpoint Queens is a non-profit, multi service agency with a flagship site in Little Neck,Forest Hills and 33 additional sites throughout the community that provides a diverse array of programs and services to over 35,000. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● HR Administrative Support (e.g. Data Entry, Filing, Retrieval and Distribution of mail.)

● Perform customer service functions by answering requests and questions.

● Support New Hire Onboarding and Terminations

● Take steps to ensure documents, files and information are kept secure and employee-related information is not shared outside of “business need” context.

● Develop and maintain knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, compliance requirements associated with USCIS (verify I-9 Form) IRS as well as DOH, DCJS, DOE, DOI, DYCD, OMH, and OPWDD.

● Assist with clearing process associated with fingerprinting, national and NYS criminal background, NYS-OCFS, NYS-SOR, Pennsylvania Report of Criminal History (PSP), FBI fingerprint based on (PSP) and Child Abuse History Clearance from Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

● Create ID Badges

● Participate in Special Projects

● Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

● College student preferred

● Customer service skills.

● Good Communication Skills

● Eager to work

● Attention to detail

● Excellent time management skills

● Work effectively with a diversified team in a fast-paced environment.

● Computer literate, including experience with all Microsoft Office software packages; Google Drive (Gmail, Calendar, Contacts, Docs, etc.); local area networks; and efficient use of the Internet.
