Job Summary

This role provides primary support to employees in various HR-related topics, including leaves, compensation, and resolving employee issues. The successful candidate will oversee recruiting and hiring, consult with the HR Director on strategic planning, and assist in developing and implementing human resource policies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communication: Develops and maintains effective relationships with all customers, develops employee education/information materials, and maintains confidentiality in regards to employee matters.
  • Compliance: Ensures TJC compliance, federal, state, and local requirements, and Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Employee Relations: Answers employee and management questions, responds to issues of harassment and discrimination, and participates in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relations problems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field required, Master degree preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: None required, SPHR/PHR preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years' professional-level Human Resources experience required, hospital setting/TJC preferred.
  • Working Knowledge: Employment-related laws, progressive discipline, interpersonal dynamics, conflict mediation, recruitment and retention, customer service, HRIS, and benefits.
