We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to join our team. The PSS will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living, providing companionship, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
Help clients with mobility, including transferring and positioning
Provide assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living spaces and doing laundry
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
Accompany clients to medical appointments and recreational activities
Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the supervisor
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a caregiver or personal care assistant preferred
Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and patient demeanor
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
