Reports to: Global Brand Manager


Position Summary:

The position will be an integral part of our marketing department by supporting various initiatives aimed at promoting the brand and engaging with target audiences. Having a passion for the lifestyle, fashion, and culture of action sports in a necessary attribute. The Marketing Community Manager works directly with the Global Brand Manager as well as having departmental cross over with Product, Creative, Sales and Operations. This position will be an essential piece to supporting overall marketing efforts with a “boots on the ground” approach. Tasks in this position may vary day-to-day and will assist to give this candidate a well-rounded approach to brand marketing for future development. A “can do” approach in this role will set this person up for success and the common goal to ensure the orange glory the is SPY+ across the land.

Job responsibilities (including, but not limited to the following):


MARKETING:

  • Manage Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, LinkedIn). Execute daily Social Media operations from planning a weekly calendar, posting, and reposting social media materials, answer DM’s enquiries and trafficking all request and conversations from social media, reporting on social analytics successes and shortcomings.
  • Work in connection to the GBM to develop a Social Media strategy and plan to maximize engagement and support brand campaign efforts.
  • Develop social media opportunities to engage user emails and assist DTC in building out the brands targeted email outreach across a various brand channels.
  • Work in concert with DTC and Creative to develop a multitude of weekly email copywriting and source imagery needs.
  • Work with GBM to develop seeding opportunities and messaging.
  • Be a resource to document imagery and video content needs for social media.
  • Maintain and organize sample and promotion materials stock.
  • Be a continual beacon of stoke for the brand. Share the culture and within the brand and why we love lit.


EVENTS:

  • Assist in planning and executing events aimed at promoting the brand within targeted communities and demographics.
  • Assist Trade Marketing Manager in trade events and show logistics and onsite presence to create a brand vibe at events.
  • Maintain events calendar and plan logistics need for events from inception to recap.
  • Coordinate event logistics including booth setup/ teardown and staffing needs specifically for Marketing events.
  • Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event.
  • Research vendors and make selections based on their creativity, quality, and cost.
  • Book venues, schedule guests, draft and finalize contracts, and lock down day-of logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years professional experience working with or around Marketing.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with tools for social media scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Having experience in shooting photos, video and editing would be a great benefit in this role.
  • Must have some working knowledge of the endeavors connected to the brand and ethos: Surfing, Snowboarding, Moto and more.
  • Experience in ADOBE Suite is a plus.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and a strong motivation to always improve and grow.
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated.
