Day Companies is looking for an experienced full-time leasing & marketing specialist to join our team. The leasing specialist will assist the leasing and property manager with the following:

  • Leasing of residential properties
  • Lease administration for residential and commercial properties
  • Executing property marketing plans
  • Enhancing tenant relations
  • Assisting with related accounting and administrative duties
  • Assisting with tenant complaints/issues and maintenance requests

Required skills:

  • Experience in residential leasing and marketing
  • Great customer service skills
  • Personable and professional attitude
  • Effective communications, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Experience in preparing marketing/leasing materials and advertising existing brand positioning and property plans
  • Ability to demonstrate time management skills and work with others
  • Word, Excel, and WordPress capabilities
  • Rent Manager software experience helpful
  • Knowledge of digital and traditional marketing media
  • Scheduled after hours availability for apartment showings, lockouts, and maintenance response replies

Leasing duties & responsibilities:

  • Meeting potential tenants and guiding them on tours of available units
  • Follow up on all leasing inquiries for residential properties
  • Prepare residential lease agreements, all subsequent renewals, and addendums
  • Coordinate with prospects: schedule and conduct showings/lease signings, provide necessary notifications
  • Process leasing applications, run financial reports, check references/rental history, as required
  • Create and maintain all tenant files
  • Enter all pertinent information into existing property management software (Rent Manager and WordPress)
  • Meet with prospects to review move-in packet, necessary instructions, provide keys, etc.
  • Review tenant portal information with tenant
  • Send out any tenant related financial information, announcements, late notices, etc.
  • Collect rent from tenants
  • Establish and maintain leasing and property related files (digital and hard files)
  • Assist with enhancing tenant relations
  • Provide backup support to property manager for property inspections, unit inspections, and maintenance requests
  • Assist property manager in other assigned tasks as required

Marketing duties & responsibilities:

  • Communicate, introduce, enhance the Day Companies brand and positioning
  • Develop and maintain all leasing-related marketing materials and signage based on company’s property plans including, promotional activities, advertising (print, online, social media, etc.)
  • Design and implement tenant retention & marketing programs
  • Provide ongoing advertising & marketing suggestions
  • Maintain social media accounts
  • Lead updates and improvements on company website
  • Lead other marketing initiatives & tasks as required

Pay Structure: Hourly rate + Commission / Commensurate with experience
