JOB OVERVIEW

The Lease Accounting Analyst will oversee the management of lease receivables within the Lease and Tenant Administration division. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with lease agreements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor daily cash deposits from various bank lockboxes.
  • Process and apply cash receipts accurately.
  • Record tenant gross sales and prepare monthly reports for stakeholders.
  • Generate and distribute percentage rent invoices.
  • Compile and send monthly rent statements to tenants.
  • Prepare and disseminate monthly financial reports to management.
  • Adjust tenant accounts as necessary.
  • Conduct month-end cash reconciliations and transfer journal entries to the General Ledger.
  • Execute month-end processes for all properties.
  • Address tenant inquiries and investigate payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and property accountants as required.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive files.
  • Manage tenant billbacks for facilities and ensure timely payments.
  • Process monthly utility charges and follow up on payments.
  • Oversee tenant insurance compliance initiatives.
  • Assist in conducting tenant sales audits.
  • Supervise and track storage lease agreements.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.
