This person must have led I.T Department’s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.

· Participate in the conversion and implementation of new companywide ERP system.

 

Acquisition & Deployment

· Benchmark, analyze report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.

· Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.

· Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

· Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.

· Develop requests for proposals (RFP) documents.

· Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Ten or more years of experience in IT management

· Extensive hands-on experience with the following technologies:

· Microsoft server operating systems

· MS 365 and Intune

· Wireless networks

· Enterprise backup and recovery technologies and procedures

· Network security (firewalls, end-point security)

· LAN and WAN topologies (IP subnets, routers, switches, DHCP)

· Cloud-based phone systems

· VMWare and cloud-based hosting

· VMWare ESXi

· Creating servers

· Azure hosting

· DR

· Server hosting

· Networking

· VPN tunnels

 

 

Operational Management

· Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.

· Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.

· Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.

· Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.

· Analyze, define, and document system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, auditing, reporting requirements and production configuration.

· Write and maintain functional and technical specifications.

· Create test plans, test data sets and automated testing to ensure all components of the system meet specifications.

· Provide technical consulting and respond to error reports, problems, or questions.
