This position of Event Manager is currently an exempt position reporting to the Executive Director. The position is eligible for a benefit stipend in place of a company directed medical, dental and vision plan. Other benefits include PTO as outlined in the employee handbook and participation in the Company 401K plan when eligible and according to the plan document. Applicants should understand that the hours of this position may include occasional evenings and weekend hours and may include occasional in-state travel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Coordination and preparation for annual AACM events for Affiliates and Management groups to include procuring facilities/catering services, printing/signage, security, in event sponsorships/registration and other needs as necessary for each event.
· Communication to Staff, volunteers, Affiliates and Management companies for each event; training for staff and volunteers with respect to their responsibilities.
· Coordinator will be responsible for budgeting and revenue for events.
· Monitoring event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, resolution of noncompliance issues if necessary.
· Collaborate regularly with the Executive Director on the creation and strategic planning of new/additional events.
Necessary Experience and Education:
· Minimum of 1 years’ experience with event planning/execution
· Previous experience in Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
Skills
· Proven experience working with details.
· Experience in speaking with small/average groups.
· Successful time management
· Critical thinking
· Team player
Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
