Job Summary
The Key Account Manager will drive growth for key accounts by engaging customers in innovative projects and additional services that align with DerbySoft's growth targets. This role requires a strong background in hospitality distribution and a solid understanding of technology, including systems and APIs. The Key Account Manager will contribute to product design and company direction to maintain DerbySoft’s industry-leading technology and solutions. Acting as the primary contact for key accounts, this role manages business relationships, monitors service level agreements, and ensures customer satisfaction with DerbySoft services.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Strategic planning and execution for hospitality distribution technology
- Develop and implement strategic plans to leverage hospitality distribution technology for achieving long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with company goals, ensuring that DerbySoft remains at the forefront of the hospitality distribution industry.
- Maintain and develop client and business relationships to grow client business with DerbySoft
- Host regular calls with clients
- Have a full understanding of the client's business and needs
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to ensure continued growth.
- Own the end-to-end processes of connections via DerbySoft
- Oversee project execution, ensuring smooth operations, timely delivery, and coordination with internal teams and external clients.
- Communicate customer and project status with internal teams and customers
- Escalate complex issues to relevant departments within DerbySoft
- Collaborate with solution engineers and other departments to promptly resolve complex issues and bugs.
- Revenue Goal Achievement
- Design and implement plans to meet revenue targets.
- Manage internal priorities and coordinate project schedules with engineers, client managers, and other teams.
- Create reporting and presentations to review with clients on a regularly scheduled basis
- Prepare documentation for quarterly business reviews
- Understand and research error reports to share with clients
- Create and monitor customer performance
- Represent DerbySoft at industry events and within industry groups/committees / organizations
- Provide feedback and insight into pricing and product direction
Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years’ experience in the travel industry required
- Must have knowledge of travel distribution technology – OTA/HTNG, Connectivity solutions such as push and pull, and content services
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Possesses confidence in working with technology and ability to learn new systems
