Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Outside Sales Representative. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers through cold calls, cold office visits, excellent customer service and impeccable communication. This role will involve some remote work but our headquarters are located in New York, NY and you may be required to come in to the office a minimum amount of days per month. We are searching for someone who can manage themselves, bring in quality clients, and hit sales goals. The ideal candidate has prior experience within the construction material supply world (plumbing, lighting, lumber, etc.) and is looking for a company and environment that will help them foster long term connections and relationships while also advancing your career and earnings potential. Our base + commission structure is unmatched and uncapped. 

We are seeking someone hungry and motivated for our New Jersey Territories. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Travel extensively in assigned territory to meet with potential clients
  • Conduct consultative sales presentations, product demonstrations to assess customer needs
  • Establish valuable relationships with key decision makers in the construction industry
  • Persuasively convey benefits of our high-quality building materials and project management skills
  • Negotiate contracts for construction projects and with vendors to hit client budgets
  • Continually prospect new client leads through networking and cold calling
  • Follow up on projects and coordinate bid submissions within our team
  • Update your actives on our CRM platform and stay on top of your pipeline
  • Qualify clients based on project verticals and average deal size
  • Lead and direct your support staff to assist your client as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Sales Presentations and Relationship Building skills
  • Customer Service and Communication skills
  • New Business Development skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or related field is preferred
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with decision makers across all client sectors
  • Must have prior outside sales experience in any construction material supply companies
  • Must have a proven track record for closing high ticket sales
  • Must be able to work from the road (via mobile or laptop)
  • Must have a car
  • Must be a self starter
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be a team player
