Medical Biller/Electronic Health Records Specialist (EHR)

  • Hours: Monday thru Friday - 8:30 am-5 pm

PrideStaff is seeking an EHR Specialist. Our client uses Therap as their Electronic Health Record. Therap Administrator must have knowledge and skills to utilize the system; their prime role will be to process billing through Therap System, implement and roll out new Therap System Modules that are needed by the agency to perform and provide services; to train staff and manage database.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Being the main point of contact for all Therap (EHR) related questions and inquires which includes troubleshooting
  • Review and submit billing through Therap and/or Medicaid
  • Provide training and support to new and existing staff members
  • Collaborate with EHR vendors and relevant stakeholders to assess, plan, and coordinate the implementation of new EHR modules or system enhancements.
  • Project management of rolling out new modules necessary to provide services
  • Ensure compliance with local, state and federal requirements
  • Data management and reporting that helps various units to meet KPIs and performance

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications and additional training in EHR systems are advantageous.
  • Previous experience in managing and administering EHR systems, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing processes and revenue cycle management.
  • Familiarity with EHR software and understanding of clinical workflows in various healthcare settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve EHR-related issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and users.
  • Ability to adapt to technological changes and willingness to stay updated with industry trends and advancements in EHR systems.
