Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor or Healthcare Center Manager/Director, the Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in delivering clerical, secretarial, and receptionist support for the clinic, working independently with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain all necessary records and reports.
- Coordinate, process, and report insurance information.
- Execute assisted billing functions as directed by the Biller/Coder.
Qualifications:
Professional/Educational:
- Experience in Ambulatory Care Clinics is preferred.
- Related college coursework is advantageous.
- CPR Certification is strongly recommended.
Personal Attributes:
- Proficient in computer operations and clerical/business office tasks.
- Ability to instruct and guide other office staff.
- Demonstrates effective collaboration with others, exhibiting tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Previous experience in Ambulatory Clinics is preferred.
- Capable of following instructions accurately.
- A genuine appreciation for being part of a healthcare team dedicated to delivering optimal patient care.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Uphold the Standards of Conduct.
- Possess the ability to utilize appropriate communication channels.
