Everson Tesla specializes in the design, manufacture, and test of a wide array of custom resistive and superconducting electromagnets, high and medium voltage stator and rotor coils, stators, rotors, motors and generators in applications such as medical oncology proton treatment equipment, particle accelerators in research institutions around the world, semiconductor manufacturing operations, submarine propulsion, aircraft launch and recovery systems for aircraft carriers, and light rail systems that transport people in many cities around the U.S. Everson Tesla is focused on solving problems and creating high-quality solutions. Everson Tesla’s successful Business Development Technical Sales will strive for excellence in customer satisfaction, identify new customers and potential business opportunities while actively maintaining existing customer relationships to support sales and margin goals.  The role will have domestic and international focus, engaging business decision makers/leaders across all or market areas. The position will communicate with corporate decision-makers through direct outreach, referrals, networking events, and social media channels. The role will report to directly to the VP of Technology and interact with the current sales team. They will enjoy learning electrical /mechanical /magnetic equipment applications and have a passion for learning new technology.

To be successful in the Business Development Technical sales role for Everson Tesla, you must have excellent communication skills to establish a rapport with customers and all stake holders. You must be knowledgeable about competitors and have the aptitude to learn and understand the technical requirements of the customer and how to craft solutions to help customers meet their needs.  In this position, you would be a key part of our business development, sales/support team to engage customer contacts for our business.  This role is an integral part of our customer-focused business model as customers are the foundation of our business.

Key Responsibilities

·        Representing Everson Tesla’s mission and business goals

·        Initiating new customer/corporate opportunities and relationships/Customer liaison

·        Progressing opportunities through the sales cycle

·        Assisting business unit leaders in completing transactions

·        Establishing the needs of the customer, recommending and/or demonstrating products and applications.

·        Maintaining business development records/updating records of customer communications and contact information.

·        Regularly updating management with prospecting activities

·        Attending virtual and in-person industry events, when safe and appropriate

·        Preparing proposals/Maintaining customer contact portals

·        Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products

·        Explaining complex technical information to customers

·        Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.

·        Keeping customers informed about new technological products

·        Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products

·       Maintaining periodic customer contact throughout the duration of each project

·       Ensuring that sales contacts or targets are consistently met. Continuing interaction with the sales team.

Requirements:

·        BS/BA in Engineering, or a related field. Alternative degree considered with the right experience in a technology role

·        A minimum of 3-4 years of sales or marketing experience

·        Knowledge of sales promotion/business development techniques

·        Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the company’s products work

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills

·        The ability to identify and follow up on leads

·        Exceptional skills relating company capabilities to customers

·        Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance

·        A valid driver’s license and passport. Willingness to travel extensively, up to 50% pending business needs.
