Job DescriptionJob Description

An Applications Engineer’s primary focus is to apply application knowledge and technical support & training to help industrial customers throughout Michigan & Toledo solve their fluid system needs.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Work with the customers to select, specify, and qualify products to customer and industry specifications within industrial, commercial, university research, construction, manufacturing, gas exploration, biotech, power, and chemical/petrochemical industries among others

• Write, edit, and review/approve documentation to support design changes with the ability to work from general instructions, shop or CAD drawings, fluid system schematics, P&IDs, blueprints, or diagrams

• Interface with sales team, to provide technical support as needed, including quotes and orders. Will involve customer site activities within company territory

• Actively engage with continuous improvement education/training and professional/personal development in alignment with company programs. Use technology to streamline and improve work processes

Position Requirements Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline is required

• 2+ years of experience in fabricating, assembly, or manufacturing is preferred

• SolidWorks or other CAD experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Skilled in interpreting and understanding customer applications in order to develop P&ID and fluid schematics

• Mechanically inclined and safety-oriented

• Ability to learn the features and benefits of multiple product families and related manufacturing processes

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, work in a dynamic team environment, and use a variety of systems and quality processes to manage complex and changing requirements
