Technical Applications Engineer

Company Overview: Barrington James is a prominent provider of innovative portable electro-optical coordinate measurement systems.

Position Overview: We are currently in search of a dedicated Application Engineer/Metrologist to manage sales and customer support throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and participate in product demonstrations for potential clients.
  • Design and conduct training sessions on both hardware and software for customers.
  • Supervise the installation of measurement systems at client sites.
  • Deliver application support services, both remotely (via phone, internet, and email) and on-site.
  • Create user manuals, training materials, and other technical documentation as necessary.
  • Represent Barrington James at industry trade exhibitions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50%, including occasional international travel.
  • Expertise in 3D measurement technologies.
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM and CNC machining for complex components.
  • Experience in technical sales is preferred.
  • Background in production technology is advantageous.
