Work Schedule: 8a-6p
Workday: Monday – Friday
The position requires the support of Legal Analysts to assist the USMCA; support personnel must be capable of receiving, cataloging, maintaining, analyzing, researching, and making determinations, among other support activities, on reports of suspected trade agreements violations filed by U.S. businesses (manufacturers, service providers, farmers, and information technology companies, among others).
Legal Analysts will support USMCA labor and trade enforcement efforts. Subject matter and tasking may change frequently, including multiple times per day. Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct electronic and manual research for identified subject matter.
- Draft memoranda summarizing and analyzing research results.
- Review documents for identified subject matter.
- Occasional translation of research results into English and Spanish.
- Scan and file images of documents as appropriate.
- Assist in the creation and updating of tracking logs.
- Review, summarization, and preparation of documents.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation or interviews for potential litigations.
Legal Analysts shall:
- Be fluent enough in both English and Spanish to perform all tasks.
- Have a B.A. or B.S. in a related field such as, but not limited to, business, economics, industrial/labor relations, etc.
- Have at least three years of work experience in a business, legal, labor, or relevant environment.
- Exposure to labor issues (a plus but not required).
- Legal research/analysis background (a plus but not required).
The contractor may occasionally perform work upon USMCA request at the USMCA offices in Washington, DC., or USMCA-approved telework or remote location(s) as deemed necessary and appropriate by the client.
