Primary Purpose:

The Logistics Lead plays a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day logistics operations within the distribution warehouse. This position is responsible for managing the inventory team, including inventory clerks, supervisors, and specialists, ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. The Logistics Lead ensures the highest standards of inventory management, warehousing practices, and team leadership to support business goals and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of inventory clerks, supervisors, and logistics specialists.
- Coordinate daily activities and workloads to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of resources.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review goals, performance, and address any issues or concerns.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge in logistics and inventory management.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies.

2. Inventory Management:
- Oversee the accurate tracking and management of inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of electronic components to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.

3. Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatching, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material handling processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe material handling practices.
- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition.

4. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in logistics and warehouse management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, quality control, and sales, to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and warehouse operations, using data to drive continuous improvement.

5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipment logs, and other logistics-related documentation.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, order fulfillment, and operational performance for management review.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to warehousing and the distribution of electronic components.

6. Customer and Vendor Relations:
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of electronic components and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to meet customer demands and ensure on-time order fulfillment.
- Address and resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory that could impact customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations, preferably in the electronics distribution industry.
Leadership: Proven experience in managing and leading a logistics or warehouse team, with strong people management skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
-Knowledge: Strong understanding of inventory control, warehousing practices, and supply chain management, particularly in the distribution of electronic components.
-Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, vendors, and customers.
-Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed, and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.


Working Conditions:

· Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential hazards associated with handling electronic components.

· May require standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
