We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rig Mechanic to join our offshore drilling team. The Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment on the drilling rig, ensuring all systems are operating efficiently and safely in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Rig Mechanic Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and Repair:

    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment including engines, pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues and execute timely repairs to minimize operational downtime.
    • Oversee the installation and testing of new mechanical equipment and systems.

  • Troubleshooting:

    • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
    • Utilize technical manuals and schematics to guide troubleshooting and repair processes.

  • Record Keeping:

    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
    • Report on equipment performance and maintenance schedules to ensure continuous operational efficiency.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during maintenance operations.
    • Ensure all mechanical work complies with regulatory standards and company policies.
    • Participate in regular safety meetings and drills to promote a safe working environment.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding equipment status and repair needs.
