We are seeking a Mechanical Equipment Operator to be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical equipment used in heavy lifting and load handling operations. This role requires a skilled operator with experience in handling large-scale mechanical systems, particularly in offshore or industrial environments. The Mechanical Equipment Operator ensures that all equipment is operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards.

Mechanical Equipment Operator Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy lifting and load handling equipment, including cranes, winches, and other mechanical systems, as required for offshore and onshore projects.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to execute lifting plans and ensure precise load handling operations.
  • Monitor equipment during operations to detect any issues or malfunctions and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that operations are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Assist in the rigging, installation, and setup of equipment as required by project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational performance.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and operational briefings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, coordinating with the maintenance team as needed for more complex repairs.
Mechanical Equipment Operator Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical systems or equipment operation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy mechanical equipment, preferably in offshore or industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and rigging practices.
  • Certification or licensing as a crane operator, heavy equipment operator, or similar qualification is highly desirable.
