NOV Aftermarket is actively seeking a Mechanical Assembler to become a vital part of our team.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Assembling production tools based on hydraulic and electrical schematics and verbal directives.
  • Handling equipment, disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Creating parts lists from blueprints and conducting parts inventory.
  • Terminating wires into electrical enclosures and performing point-to-point wiring in various voltage systems.
  • Conducting equipment functionality and hydraulic testing.
  • Setting up subassemblies to specifications and testing units.
  • Collaborating with project planners to address issues related to production components or schematics.
  • Troubleshooting production tools and executing repairs as necessary.
  • Executing tasks in alignment with documented procedures that uphold NOV's quality standards.
  • Operating a forklift and other equipment as required.
  • Maintaining shop cleanliness to 6S standards.
  • Leading and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Completing other work-related tasks as assigned.
  • Adhering to all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.


Education & Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment assembly or maintenance, or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience in assembling hydraulic and electrical components and systems is preferred.
Technical education or product knowledge is advantageous.


Job Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Capability to install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment.
Ability to complete all necessary documentation associated with the role.


Technical Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable knowledge of oil and gas technical aspects.
Familiarity with 6S (Organization/Standardization) principles is a plus.
