Summary:

R. L. Schreiber, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of National Accounts to lead our foodservice sales efforts, focusing on growth of Multi-unit Chain Restaurants, Specialty and Broadline Distributors, Healthcare, and other large HRI foodservice channels. This role is pivotal in driving business growth and sales diversification in the food base, spice, seasoning, and custom blending industry. The ideal candidate will bring experience in foodservice sales and  developing strategic initiatives to expand our market presence, generate new sales opportunities, ensure world class top-tier customer account and relationship development and management and lead a passionate team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and direction to grow and diversify our business. Develop and manage national account relationships, ensuring best-in-class customer service.
  • Business Development: Identify new prospects, maintain an active sales funnel, and close profitable business opportunities. Implement strategies that align with company growth objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop the National Accounts Sales Team, including National Account Managers and Corporate Chef.  Hold team members accountable through goal setting, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Financial Management: Achieve top-line growth while maintaining profitability. Analyze market changes and adapt strategies as necessary. Manage departmental budget and pricing to optimize profitability.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers. Conduct regular business reviews and provide solutions to customer challenges.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reporting on business activity, sales volume, forecasts, and pricing analysis. Prepare and deliver reports for Sales, Executive, and Board meetings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including participation in Sales & Operations and Executive Meetings. Act as a primary point of contact for customer issue resolution.
  • Maintain professional industry knowledge by attending trade shows, workshops, and networking.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 15 years in the foodservice sales with experience managing key foodservice accounts and distributors.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, relationship management, and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, ERP Systems, and Power BI.
  • Advanced negotiation, communication, analytical, strategy, and problem-solving skills.
