ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Reviews, code and process utility invoices and miscellaneous non- purchase orders invoices after obtaining authorizations
  • Processes purchase order invoices after verifying that items billed on the invoice have been received
  • Processes discount invoices in timely manner
  • Runs checks bi-weekly, filing and mailing
  • Handles calls and e-mails on invoice questions or forwards to appropriate person
  • Closes accounts payable books on monthly basis; run month-end reports
  • Files and maintain accurate accounting records
  • Reviews accounts payable invoice batches prepared by other accounts payable personnel for proper coding and expense distribution
  • Reviews and reconcile assigned bank statements each month
  • Sorts and distribute incoming accounts payable mail when periodically assigned.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
  • Regular, reliable attendance required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of Excel and Word.

• Strong communication skills

• Background check and drug test are required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with an accounts payable computerized system, Excel, and Word
