Strom Engineering is currently looking for someone for our Front Desk/Receptionist position.  The hours for this opportunity are 9:am-5:pm M-F in our corporate office in Minnetonka, MN.

The front desk position is the first step to employment with our company, it is a very important position. Applicant needs to treat every caller the same. Consistent, calm, steady speed, grammatically correct, professional, and friendly. It requires multi-tasking between Aviante and Outlook email.  Must be able to determine client callers from temporary workers. Nearly every call is screened and normally not transferred. The recruiters do not take calls like they use to. The caller is given directions on how to apply with our company or if they already have applied, then the front desk accesses their portal (profile) and notes their availability, answers questions about updating their portal information including resumes. Often, the caller gets placed on hold while other calls are answered.  It’s a lot of juggling. Must feel comfortable about learning Aviante. Let them know that it is stressful especially at first but that we are a very friendly group. Additionally, there is a lot of down time during the day when there are fewer calls, no personal phone usage allowed during shift.
