Role and Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer experiences by empowering agents and policyholders.
- Navigate through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy.
- Effectively research and identify solutions using computer-based resources.
- Work in a paperless environment where customer privacy is paramount.
- Learn and utilize multiple underwriting guides and manuals.
- Review completed inspections and decide to accept, modify, or reject insurance risks.
- Process risks through the system if they meet criteria.
- Prepare cancellation or rescission documents if risks are not acceptable.
- Answer emails and phone calls from agents and policyholders.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; must be at least 18 years old
- Preferred: Personal Lines insurance experience and familiarity with customer databases or comparable technology.
- 440, 2044, or 220 Property Casualty License or ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Strong interest in using and promoting innovation and technology.
- Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and customer service skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software and insurance databases.
- Ability to build positive relationships with policyholders and agents.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual with excellent attendance.
- Self-motivated to learn products in detail; interested in ongoing personal development.
