Administrative Assistant I

The Metropolitan Water District needs an Administrative Assistant to support their Western Regional Unit, located in Downtown Los Angeles off Soto Street.

Location - Soto Street Facility at: 2100 N. Soto St. Los Angeles, CA 90032.

· This is a temporary position up to 6 months.

· Work schedule is a 4/10 (Mon - Thurs).

· This hybrid schedule starts as early as 6:00am – 4:30pm with every Friday off.

Pay: $33.06/hour to $43.52/hour

Administrative Assistant I Duties Include:

· Mail Services, Phones, Data Entry, and Processing Invoices (heavy) for over 70 contracts.

· The ideal candidate will prepare administrative tasks in a timely manner, work independently, very informal office setting (construction site), perform an array of administrative tasks and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

· Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.

· Experience using MSOffice, Adobe, and DocuSign.

· Candidates from: Finance, Real Estate, Construction background (Plus)

Job Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or general education test (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience; or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • INTERMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE: MSOffice, Adobe, and DocuSign.
  • KNOWLEDGE IN PROCESSING: Invoices, Mail Services, answering phones, and Customer Service experience.
  • Personable, Team Player, Flexible, Multitask and handles pressure well.
  • Detail orient, Organized, Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills a must.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
