Sr. Field Coordinator – Contract Role

 

Position Summary

The position will support onshore activities in the United States and other surrounding countries to ensure profitable growth of our business, flawless operations, customer satisfaction, and customer relations and retention.

 

Position Description

·       Responsible for oversight management of subcontractor sites

·       Responsible for managing sub-contractors / service providers performance related to ISO requirements to include evaluations / site audit and documentation related to such

·       Obtains information or provide quotations and rates for services as required by project groups

·       Travel as required domestically

·       Supports operations department and project managers as needed

·       Monitor compliance with service standard and requirements as per contracts

·       Responsible for logistics coordination at project site

·       Responsible for medium term project assignments at jobsites, ports, and marshalling yards

·       Responsible for ensuring that all targets and objectives are met in line with project-specific SOP’s

·       Responsible for coordination and prioritize workflow for movement of freight

·       Establish and identify room for improvement within the area of responsibility and manage the change process

·       Work closely with other internal departments and stakeholders through regular meetings to ensure client/ contractual needs and expectations are communicated to achieve positive results

·       Develop teamwork, demonstrating shared goals and values

·       Knowledge in all onshore freight forwarding disciplines

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

STWIC Card – Currently in possession or able to qualify for TWIC card.

STA (Security Test Assessment) – must pass/qualify.

Must pass Site Specific training courses for specific projects and facilities

·       Adhere and enforce QHSES Policy and Procedures.

·       Work with due care and consideration to safeguard your own health and safety and the health and safety of others.

·       Report incidents/accidents/near misses.

 

Qualifications & Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

·       Port/Site experience preferred

·       Ability to travel 10-15%

·       Excellent communication skills – Verbal & Written

·       Computer skills – MS Windows 7, MS Office

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. Requires individual to be outdoors and in extreme weather conditions. May require climbing ladders or manual walkways to access equipment. Will be required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment as per safety directives). On occasion may be required to stand for an extended period of time. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.
