We are partnering with a reputable Veterans Support Company to find a dedicated and compassionate Customer Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to veterans and their families, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring they receive the support and resources they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction:
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist veterans and their families with information about available services, programs, and benefits.
  • Provide guidance on how to access resources and resolve issues related to services provided by the company.
  • Problem Resolution:
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Escalate complex cases to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved and they are satisfied with the service provided.
  • Documentation:
  • Accurately document customer interactions, including inquiries, issues, and resolutions, in the company’s CRM system.
  • Maintain and update customer records as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
  • Service Improvement:
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights to management to help improve services and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about company services, programs, and policies to provide accurate information to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a support role within a nonprofit, government, or healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with veterans or within the veterans' support community is a significant advantage.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other customer support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and understanding when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
