Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Network Technician on the Wireless Connectivity Solutions team, the incumbent will work with the team to design, implement, and maintain equipment installation projects in various areas of the country.

**Prior Military experience preferred**

Responsibilities include:

- Set up, monitor, and upgrade system equipment to include wireless transceivers, wireless controllers, network access control systems and guest user systems

- Maintain the network environment of an installed system

- Provide up to level-three technical support for system issues reported by customer

- Collect data and feedback from clients regarding functionality

- Collaborate with engineers to resolve system and equipment configuration issues

- Identify, rectify, and replace malfunctioning equipment

- Support testing and configuration of new equipment

- Set up client security software on common devices

- Terminate and route cables inside equipment enclosures and mounted equipment

- Maintain and manage computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems

- Replace faulty network hardware components when required

- Maintain, configure, and monitor virus protection software and email applications

- Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made

- Confer with network users about solving existing system problems

- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems

- Perform disaster preparedness and recovery operations when required

- Perform other duties within this scope as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or Engineering related field; or 4+ years direct experience supporting IT systems

- Exceptional degree of customer-service orientation

- Security+, Network+, CCNA certifications a plus

- Team oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance
