Job Summary

We are looking for an IT Technician 1 with experience in installing and upgrading shipboard ADP/IT networks and equipment. The successful candidate will provide training to crew members as needed for LAN and IT equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface and coordinate daily and planned activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, and other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support.
  • Prepare and provide daily work reports, and respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports.
Requirements
  • Must possess IAT Level I, in coordination of IAWF DoD M.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain an operating system certification that correlates to systems installed onboard MSC vessels.
  • Must possess an active SECRET level security clearance.
  • Progressive IT experience (1 year).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server (2008r2/2012/2016) /desktop Operating Systems (7/10).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V/Virtual Server.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Shipboard experience preferred.
  • Cat5/Fiber experience.
