Job DescriptionJob Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the complete procurement and supply chain workflow from vendor selection to RFQ to purchase order release and receipt for all commodities.
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors and manufacturers using ERP system.
  • Ensure that orders received are accurate and follow up with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Work closely with relevant departments to ensure products purchased are to required specification and in line with the needs of the company.
  • Generate RFQ and RFP for commodities to multiple vendors to leverage lowest price achievable.
  • Create purchase orders in ERP system.
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure we optimize margins by negotiating the best possible pricing.
  • Consolidate purchasing when appropriate to build strong partnerships while also reducing costs.
  • Proactively maintain relationships with suppliers & vendors through regular follow up, identifying potential future cost down opportunities.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years supply chain/procurement experience.
  • Experience working as a procurement professional in manufacturing is preferred and preferably electronics manufacturing.
  • Must have ERP experience (preferably Exact – Macola).
  • Understanding of logistics, import and export beneficial.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting, Walking and Talking for extended period of time.

 

Qualities Preferred:

  • Excellent negotiation & communications skills with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly by phone and email.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Maintain a positive, calm and pleasant demeanor when dealing with vendors and suppliers.
