Genialis is rapidly expanding its business and strategic partnerships in the US and globally. To drive this growth, the company seeks a Business Development Associate. The Business Development Associate will report to the Head of Business Development and will support the commercial team in engaging biopharma, pharma and diagnostic companies to promote Genialis’ technology products, biomarker algorithms, and supporting service offerings.

This commercial role requires working knowledge of oncology, omics technologies and experience working with biopharma and biotechnology companies. This role demands a meaningful blend of marketing intelligence, lead generation, lead management, scientific content generation and dissemination. The candidate will have a track record of commercial success with a “roll up your sleeves” approach to support growth opportunities, new clients and accelerate traction in key market segments.

Responsibilities
  • Support the commercial team’s mandate to grow Genialis’ product traction and revenue
  • Support for brand recognition and new client acquisition through data driven campaigns:
    • Marketing campaign ideation and execution to grow inbound pipeline
    • Marketing content development, including website, whitepapers, emails, webinars, posters, among others to broaden brand awareness and recognition
    • Sales and partnership outbound campaigns
    • Lead management and support to convert marketing qualified leads to sales qualified leads to won deals (including but not limited to researching customer needs, applying sales tactics, and supporting powerpoint presentations for optimal communication of value).
    • Research market opportunities
  • Research and compile competitive intelligence on existing and new competitors
  • Attend relevant conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Develop and maintain relationships across professional and social networks and key connections in the life science industry
  • Work within defined department-level and company-wide processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing/business analyst roles in biotech/pharma /diagnostic industries
  • Bachelor and/or Graduate degrees in Life Sciences and Business Administration
  • Strong knowledge of cancer biology and NGS methods.
  • Familiarity with drug discovery and development, especially pertaining biomarkers, companion diagnostics, deployment of AI models as clinically predictive and commercially relevant tools
  • Solid understanding of the biotechnology/pharmaceutical media sources, conferences, and other marketing related spaces.
  • Record of success in the biotechnology/ biopharma space, e.g. inside leads
  • Demonstrable excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with tools such as HubSpot (CRM), G Suite, Slack, MailChimp etc.
