The CPQ Systems Analyst/Product Model Developer plays a crucial role in both sales and manufacturing processes. This position involves developing new products and models within our Experlogix CPQ configurator. A deep understanding of our products, specifications, limitations, and order entry automation is essential to create and maintain models that ensure accuracy and efficiency in order processing. The role also includes managing various aspects of software designed for different applications and databases, adapting to an evolving landscape.
The CPQ Product Model Developer is tasked with maintaining and verifying product specifications according to established requirements. This role requires close collaboration with product management, engineering, and production teams to identify business needs and develop solutions that maximize the organization’s benefits and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess a data-driven, analytical mindset, always seeking to improve the existing architecture to enhance the CPQ system’s efficiency and effectiveness. Attention to detail, the ability to see the bigger picture, and focus on immediate tasks are key qualities. Reporting directly to the IT manager, the developer will work with a team of knowledgeable colleagues to assist in development, integration, architecture planning, and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) Platform (Experlogix).
- Maintain the Experlogix database.
- Test and assess new Experlogix builds for potential upgrades.
- Collaborate with support and developers to resolve integration issues.
- Report software bugs to the Experlogix vendor and drive resolutions.
- Work with business team members on Experlogix CPQ functionality and enhancements, understanding requirements, and coordinating with the modeling team.
- Develop and maintain scripts and styles for the Experlogix CPQ web application.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and production to create the tools and data necessary for product development.
- Utilize Experlogix CPQ, Microsoft Dynamics CE & BC, Microsoft Power Platform, and other tools to enhance business and manufacturing processes.
- Create and develop system requirements within Experlogix to improve performance, quality, and external interfaces.
- Work with business analysts and developers to create optimal tools and software experiences for business needs.
Position Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Consistently meet attendance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years of experience in data management or programming within a data-driven IT environment.
- Ability to incorporate organizational best practices into business applications.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of experience with Experlogix.
- Experience with Microsoft NAV / BC, CRM / Dynamics 365 Sales CE, Power Platform, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Experience or certifications in Microsoft cloud platform tools.
