Professional Experience

  • Supervised a team of construction workers, ensuring projects were completed on time, under budget, and in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Conducted daily safety briefings and enforced strict compliance with safety regulations.
  • Trained and developed new hires and less experienced crew members, improving overall team performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, dump trucks, and excavators.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks and basic repairs on equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret site plans and construction drawings.
  • Collaborate with other construction personnel and participate in safety meetings.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures as set by the company and OSHA.
  • Assist in the estimation of job requirements like time and material costs.
  • Report any machinery issues to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Help with ground preparation, excavation, and grading tasks.
  • Connecting and constructing pipe systems for storm and sanitary sewers, drains, and water mains.
  • Set laser at proper grade.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in water and sewer construction, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and performing mathematical calculations related to pipe installation and water flow.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards in the construction industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform demanding tasks.
  • Must speak English, the ability to speak and understand Spanish preferred.

Certifications:

  • OSHA Safety Certification preferred.
