We are seeking a Business Analyst to become an integral part of our team. You will analyze business requirements and ensure that they are captured correctly and implemented in a critical software platform that will support a large State of California Agency. Upon successful implementation, you will perform ongoing support of the platform and users as well as continue to enhance the platform. The core functionality of the platform manages contracting, performance management, invoicing, and various other functions.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with a new software platform and understand the core functionalities and opportunities for enhancements.
- Interview business users and accurately capture their system requirements
- Document requirements and work with software development team to ensure that requirements are undstood and implemented
- System Testing and Error Documentation
- Support development for other business units and contribute to alternate development projects/business units
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across departments to ensure that requirements consider all department needs
Qualifications:
- Background in finance or vendor and contracts performance management a plus.
- Knowledge of System Development Life cycle and Project Management
- Experience with implementation of software platforms
- Demonstrated ability to document findings and requirements
- Previous Consulting Experience a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
