The client is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with a solid background in the implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.

Required Experience:

  • Experience: A minimum of five years within the last decade working as a Business Analyst for large organizations. In this role, you should have led or actively participated in the technical implementation of ITSM and ITAM solutions, like ServiceNow, automating complex business processes. Your responsibilities should have included:

    • Developing and maintaining requirement management plans.
    • Assessing the scope of analysis tasks.
    • Planning and executing business analysis tasks.
    • Facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) or other collaborative design sessions.
    • Eliciting, defining, and documenting various business, user, and system requirements.
    • Conducting analysis for business process improvements, application design, and workflow automation.
    • Modeling and documenting new functional requirements and developing use cases.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business subject matter experts, application architects, developers, and testers.
    • Working closely with the ServiceNow implementation vendor team.

  • Deliverables: At least seven years of experience within the last decade in producing key business analysis deliverables. These may include:

    • Business requirements, business rules, and business process models.
    • Use cases, functional requirements, and/or functional specifications.
    • Non-functional requirements.
    • Stakeholder requests.
    • Procurement documentation.
    • Transition plans and/or implementation requirements.
    • Traceability matrices.

  • Tools: At least three years of experience using tools like Rational Requisite Pro, HP ALM, Jama Software, or similar for documenting functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications, and ensuring full traceability for projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Sector Experience: Experience working as a Business Analyst within State or Federal government environments.

  • ITSM/ITAM Focus: Experience leading or contributing to the technical implementation of ITSM and ITAM solutions like ServiceNow, with specific expertise in areas such as:

    • Incident Management
    • Change Management
    • Problem Management
    • Configuration Management
    • Hardware and Software Asset Management
    • Cloud SaaS Cost Management
    • Request Management Service Catalog
    • End User Experience
    • Service Portfolio
    • Asset Discovery
    • Service Level Management

  • Certifications and Education:

    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP or CCBA) from IIBA (a copy of the certification is required).
    • Experience with Agile project management methodology or Scaled Agile Framework.
    • Familiarity with the ITIL Framework.
    • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields from an accredited or government-sanctioned college or university (a copy of the degree is required).
