Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for an Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist with our client located in Mt. Prospect, IL. Our client is a large manufacturing who specializes in producing large machinery items for the aerospace industry. They are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist will be working alongside a team of 3 individuals in the department. The Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist’s primary responsibilities will be performing billing, cash applications, and collections tasks. The ideal Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist will be able to start as soon as possible.

Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Post customer payments and any cash receipts daily and maintain an accurate aging reports
  • Research cash receipts, coding and respond to customer’s inquiries
  • Review, create and post billing invoices for revenue
  • Create inter company invoices
  • Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions
  • Initiate collections on past due accounts
  • Notifies parts department, service department, sales reps, and management with slow payments customers
  • Set up customers in the system and maintain customer records
  • Respond to credit requests in timely manner
  • Complete vendor set up sheets by future clients
  • Evaluate credit limits for new customers and review credit limits for existing customers periodically
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain current sales tax exemption certificates from customers.
  • Maintain Sales Tax table in the system and file sales tax return monthly, quarterly, and annually


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full cycle AR experience
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
