Role: Cloud Content Writer

Location: Remote - preferably in EST or CST time zones

Duration: 12 months

Partner with the best

In this role, you will play an important role in building the client’s cloud computing brand. You will write content to drive brand awareness and generate revenue. Your blend of strategic thinking and creativity will enable you to:

• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative tech marketing environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.

• Leverage exceptional storytelling and best-in-class content marketing skills to produce copy that converts readers to buyers.

• Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that evokes emotion, connects with client’s target audiences, and drives action.

• Comfortably vary tone, style, and other characteristics demanded by the project and target audience while staying true to the client brand voice.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in cloud computing and content delivery.

• Stay on top of internal style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging and tone.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs to develop exceptional creative copy that addresses audience pain points and establishes client’s authority on a topic.
  • Research (internally and externally/competitively) and understand the subject matter and target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with internal subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  • Write original copy and edit content for various corporate marketing and communications materials, including email, web, and advertising copy, infographics, social copy, event copy, and long-form assignments such as blogs and whitepapers.
  • Collaborate with a team of marketers and creative staff from concept development to delivery of the final product.
  • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to an internal team and stakeholders as needed and occasionally participate in internal pitches.
  • Revise copy based on stakeholder feedback/direction with agility and consistency.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • We’re particularly interested in candidates with a background in technology journalism and/or who have technical marketing experience in cloud computing.
  • Have 5+ years of relevant marketing experience with a bachelor’s or master’s or equivalent professional experience.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with good storytelling capabilities.
  • Have a sharp editorial eye and an always-testing, data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrate project management skills and ability to prioritize and execute efficiently when priorities shift.
  • Have a firm grasp of SEO best practices and a high comfort level in using data to derive insights and actions.
  • Be familiar with collaboration tools such as WebEx and Jira.
  • Build alignment, trust, and productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners.
