Position Summary

Agilant Solutions is looking for an established Staff Accountant in our Lisle, IL office. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through the preparation of a company’s reports and statements. They will usually report to the Accounting Manager.

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Ù Build relationships with customers with an open line of communication including correspondence, phone calls and managing customer electronic payment portals

Ù Standardize and streamline the reporting of summary and detail by customer with updates/payment statuses/delays/issues to Accounting Manager

Ù Assist cash applications making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.

Ù Verify, apply, and process credit memos and RMA (return merchandise authorizations)

Ù Improve and maintain AR turnover ratio

Ù Enter accounting related information into business logs

Ù Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy

Ù Organize and update financial records

Ù Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue

Ù Perform monthly bank settlements

Ù Prepare documentation for external auditors

 

Required Skills/Abilities

Ù Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Ù Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Ù Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ù Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ù Ability to read and analyze financial reports


Education and Experience

Ù Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Ù At least two years’ experience in accounting or a related field

Ù Previous experience with Netsuite and Paylocity a plus.
