JOB TITLE: AR Collections Representative

EMPLOYER: Direct Waste Services

 

 

SUMMARY: Manages collection activities and all levels of delinquency. Supports all aspects of collections on all accounts

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Negotiates payment of all past due accounts that are over 30 days delinquent by direct telephone calls.

· Researches, resolves, corrects, and prevents invoice discrepancies by active interaction with customers, sales, and other appropriate staff/departments.

· Updates customer account information.

· Logs phone call details, including conversation notes and dollars collected, in collection log.

· Processes credit card payments and updating credit card information.

· Provide sales team and collectors with statements for hand pick up of delinquent invoices.

· Answering collection related emails.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· HS Diploma or equivalent, one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

· Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

· Commitment to excellence and high standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.

· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

· Acute attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.

· Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.

· Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.

· Bilingual skills a plus.

· Excellent customer service skills

· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
