Office Coordinator/Accounting Assistant – Park Ridge, IL
$24 - $26/Hour

We are a small supplier of products for the automotive industry, seeking an Office Coordinator/Accounting Assistant that can juggle administrative and accounting responsibilities in the office, provide excellent customer service, and complete various special projects as needed.

Under the supervision of the President, the Office Coordinator/Accounting Assistant performs a wide variety of duties to support our front office and programs. No two days are alike, so we are searching for someone that thrives on the variety of responsibilities in this position.

We are an enthusiastic small office, but large on laughs and provide an outstanding work culture

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with all daily and monthly duties relating to our company’s financials, including handling all accounts payable and accounts receivable functions from invoice receipt to payment
  • Prepare check disbursements, coding and depositing miscellaneous checks
  • Match and enter purchase orders to vendor invoices
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Office Manager, accounting firm, and other team members, assisting in special projects as requested
  • Prepare memos, letters, reports, and other documents using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Provide excellent service to our customers internally and externally
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain documents and files of a complex or confidential nature
  • Order department supplies, coordinate equipment repair, sort and distribute mail and packages to appropriate parties
  • Other general administrative duties as requested

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of general office and accounting experience - AR and AP
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks - no exceptions
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and detail-orientation
  • Ability to multi-task
